ABOUT CELESTE

Dr. Celeste Birkhofer is licensed Clinical Psychologist and Adjunct Clinical Faculty member at Stanford Medical School, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. She has a psychotherapy private practice, teaches and supervises Stanford Psychiatry Residents, and is on the Clinical Advisory Board for the JED Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting emotional well being and reducing suicide risk in teens and young adults.

Dr. Birkhofer has extensive training in many different modalities of therapy, which allow her to individualize treatment based on what each patient needs. She has been trained in Contemporary Psychoanalysis, Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Couples Therapy, Mindfulness & Self Compassion Practices, and Grief & Loss Counseling.
